Step 1:  To get started, download Odin and  Samsung Galaxy A40 TWRP  (twrp-3.3.0.0.img.tar) onto your computer. Once downloaded, open the Odin window.

Step 2:  Next, power off your smartphone and boot into download/bootloader mode by pressing and holding the Volume Down,  Power, and  Home buttons simultaneously.

Step 3:  Once your device has entered download mode, connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable. If you have correctly installed Galaxy A40 USB drivers on your computer, Odin will automatically identify your device, and you will see an “ Add ” message in its Log. In addition,  ID: COM  will change to a “Blue” color.

Step 4:  Now, click on the “ AP ” button in the Odin window and select the  twrp-2.8.7.0-j2lte.img.tar file.

Step 5:  Next, click on the ” Start ” button to start the flashing process (which will take a minute or two to complete). After the flashing process is complete, you will get a ” PASS ” message in Odin. Your device will also reboot.

Step 6:  Now, unplug your smartphone from the computer.
